| City of Alexandria: Lorton has an Independence Parade but not a Saint Patricks Parade. Historic Downtown Alexandria is easily accessible from Mount Vernon by the GW parkway which is Washington Street in Alexandria. The parade is very well attended being the first Saturday in March and parking is a bit of a challenge. The city is rich in Scottish and Irish heritage.
